SMALL ONE
By
Brant W. Fowler
Above and beyond my comprehension lies a great beauty.
A huge expanse of blue filled with pillows of white.
An enormous range of green and blue stretches out before me.
My eyes could not possibly capture all there is to see.
Thousands, possibly millions of sounds surround me, each one different; each one unique.
Billions of sights and living things exist before me, only millions seen and known of.
All which are diverse from the other.
Each with their own image and likeness.
Their own features and habits.
Everything stands on its own, yet depends upon the others.
Within these great wonders lies one so small, yet still significant.
In this great big universe filled with sky, stars, clouds, land, and living creatures galore stands
one small one.
One with power over all that is before them.
One with a connection to the Creator of it all.
One who stands before the Creator and walks with Him.
A small one, blessed beyond measure, stands with God.
And God has given them everything
That small one is you.
