Dropping Knowledge

Came across this today via an email and thought I'd post a little ditty about it. What am I talking about? Click the title post to find out.

Basically, it's a link to a site that is ushering in a worldwide discussion of viewpoints and opinions on important topics without involving governments or the media. It's like an exchange of ideas that lets everyone's voices be heard.

Sounds like a neat concept, and no doubt it will spark some pretty good discussions if it catches on. But I'm not sure it will ever serve to make a real difference. Movements like this rarely do, and especially when it's set up on the internet where everybody speaks their minds, but away from the keyboard the majority of them are silent.

I give it a thumbs up for a noble idea, but I have little hope for it overall sadly. I hope they prove me wrong.
