Oh Happy Day

I'm a little late, but a big HAPPY MOTHER'S DAY to all you mothers out there!

Well, computer problems abound. My secondary hard drive pretty much got fried today. My main hard drive is too small and I'm out of memory, so I can't even open Illustrator of Photoshop, which really hinders my lettering and web design capabilities.

I hope to get all this resolved tomorrow, but you know how it goes.

I did manage to write my column for tomorrow between Word shutting down on me, and I got it sent it. So Myth Conceptions will go up tomorrow thankfully.

I also managed to get a temporary background up on My Space last night (the PC shut down today while lettering) and it looks decent.

The SPA Idol contest just took a weird turn. As you know if you've been keeping up with my posts or the contest itself, Round 2 has entered the judge veto stage and one title has already fallen prey to thier judgement. Two more were seemingly on the chopblock, but the moderator, who has final say, stepped in and said he wasn't ready to ax them yet, so he moved them to the 14th and 15th spots. Now apparently the judges will recommend titles from the bottom 16 to move up in thier place.

The judges must agree and then the moderator must agree with the judges for titles below the line to overtake the two on the chopping block. And yes, I did say bottom 16 as opposed to bottom 17, which we had yesterday. One of the bottom 17 entries pulled out of the running today, so there's no chance at it moving up.

Confused yet? We were. It's a very, very strange and stressful process and doesn't make a lot of sense, but that's how it goes and we have no choice but to ride it out.

I just finished watching Constantine for the first time with my little brother. It was a pretty good movie. There was a lot of stuff I didn't agree with and thought was just plain ignorant, but I tried to enjoy it beyond that. It's hard for me to take myself away from Biblical truths in religious films and stories and I constantly find myself at odds with certain things throughout. I try to remember these are fictional takes and just enjoy it, but at times it's pretty hard.

It was still a good film though.

That's about it for me for now. I haven't heard from anyone I'm collaborating with the past few days, and since I can't letter I'm either going to write some or draw some after I goof off for just a bit. :)
