Barbacue Chicken!

Mmm-Mmm! Tonight I had the best home-cooked meal I've had probably since Thanksgiving.

For months it's been the usual suspects, pizza, sandwiches, spaghetti, other pasta, fast food, chili beans and rice, soup, and stuff like that.

All fine food, but not complete meals of great nutritional value for sure. Tonight was different.

Bonless barbecue chicken swiming in a blend of brown sugar and spicy barbecue sauce (much better than the picture above!); whole kernel corn fried with salt and pepper making it spicy and delectable; small early peas mixed with just the right amount of salt and pepper to give them real flavor; delicious baked beans; ever so slightly lumpy mashed potatoes covered with just a dab of butter, salt and pepper; and side dishes of fruit and buttered bread.

Okay, so not all of that is too nutritional either, but it was very, very good!

Now that's a complete meal. I just thought I'd share that as it really was the best meal I've had in a long time, and my stomach is still reeling from the ill-advised second helping my mouth cried for.

But it was worth every. single. bite. :)
