Facing the Storm...

Man, the weather here got bad earlier. So bad I unplugged the computer just in case. I have a surge protector, but still. Luckily it has all calmed down now and all is well. My computer at least got a nice rest.

Speaking of the computer, I've been having problems with certain applications, namely ones that eat up a lot of memory. They won't run with other programs open, which leads me to believe it's a memory problem. As soon as I can I'm going to get some more, but until then there's no more online for me while lettering.

The SPA site is still down. Some stupid problems with the server. I know Ian has been working hard on it for days now trying to switch servers and all. Just sucks it's in the middle of the contest. Luckily it gives the Kansas Hit team a few more days to get everything together. With any luck we'll post ours first.

Man, did I already say that in a previous post? I should really start checking those. Oh well.

I haven't gotten to watch Wrestlemania yet. My cousin got it, I think, so I'm gonna watch it tomorrow maybe and tape Raw. So don't anyone tell me what happened! It's been all I can do not to go to the wrestling news sites.

Tomorrow's Myth Conceptions column is a doozy. The final draft came in at around 50 paragraphs! Jenny's gonna kill me. Not to mention I didn't get it to here until 10:30 pm. But I think it turned out really good, and I hope you will all check it out. I'll post here when it goes up.

Which reminds me, I completely forgot to send out the notification email for today's Indy-Pendant column after I promised one person I would. I still haven't transferred the mailing list over to the new email. Ugh. Maybe next week...

I watched the movie Gospel tonight. Great movie, I thought, and it was really touching for me for reasons I won't disclose here. It just really spoke to me. And of course the singing was great. Tamyra Grey from American Idol and gospel singer Yolanda Adams were among the singers in the movie.

Before the movie a preview of Rent played, and that song they sing got stuck in my head yet again (525,600 minutes. How do you measure, measure a year...). I love music!

Wow, it's been over a year since the falling out with Storrm, the first comics company I was Editor-In-Chief of. It's been nearly as long since I've talked to the owner. Not by my choice, he just doesn't return emails these days. Sigh. I just can't believe it's been that long. After being with the company for so long it just still feels strange. But I'm enjoying where I'm at in my own creativity right now.

I do believe everything happens for a reason, so I'll just keep facing the storm...

wow. it has been a year huh? talk about time flying. wicked now that i think about it, you know? but yeah i think you are right man. things happen for a reason, and though we may not know why at the time, that doesn't make it any less true. here's to the next year, and the one after that bro.
