Hard to Handle
I've mentioned here and elsewhere about my Mom's injury and trying to deal with Workman's Comp and everything. Well we got some bad news today that added to it exponentially.
My Mom hasn't been feeling right for weeks. Her injury is in her leg (she has one in her shoulder as well, but the one she got on the job was in her leg), but she has been having severe pain in other areas for weeks and none of the doctors could figure out what was wrong.
The other day she had her second MRI and today she got the results. They found a mass on her uterus. They don't think it's malignant, but there's a possibility she might have to have a hysterectomy.
We're trying to stay positive, but on top of everything else we've been dealing with this was far from welcome news.
Christmas of 2004 we had a really bad scare with Mom. All of a sudden without warning she couldn't breath and felt like she was dying. Our family kind of blew it off like it was nothing, but my brother and I were there. It was very scary.
We also have a history of cancer in our family. The year before last my Mom's sister died of cancer, and the year after my brother was born Mom's mother died of cancer. Her father battled nine kinds of cancer for a few years and had a couple of strokes and still isn't doing great. So suffice it to say this find today has her pretty shook up.
I would appreciate any prayers or kind thoughts you have to give immensely. This day has been a little hard to handle.

You have my prayers Brant! Sounds like they are catching this early, so I'm hoping for the best. Let me know if I can help in any way.
Thank you, Chuck, it's much appreciated.
Brant, getting on to it early is a big positive. Most importantly, we will all pray for your Mom's recovery.
