Blocked
Alright, so listen how messed up this is. As you all know comicavalanche.com is a site I maintain. And you also know that about a week or so ago I could no longer access the site. Well after talking to so many tech support agents I feel all teched out every day over the past week I finally discovered the problem. It turns out that comicavalanche's hosting server, which is godaddy, has blocked a range of IP addresses because of some spam precaution. And wouldn't you know that my IP address is within that range? But that's not even the kicker. The kicker is they can't or won't unblock it! And furthermore, the idiots at Adelphia (my ISP) brushed me off, said it wasn't their problem and that there was nothing they could do.
So here I am unable to access a site I designed, maintain and update on a daily basis with no one willing to help me resolve the issue. Can it get more ridiculous than that?
Sorry, had to vent. My frustration knows no limits at this time!

That sucks man! You have to wonder sometimes at the stupidity of how our society works. I feel for you though, I just had a situation in the same vein of stupidity yesterday involving alot of water and my contractor. What a mess!!
BTW, what are you going to do about this situation?
Hey Brant, I know NOTHING about this sort of stuff, so I might be way off track here, but can't you take your site to another server?
Well, I contacted GoDaddy again and tried to appeal to them. They finally replied this morning and asked for more information. So hopefully this will go somewhere and they'll be able to help.
As for moving it to another server, well I don't own the site in terms of paying for the hosting, etc. And Bryan, the one who does just recently upgraded his plan with them. So it's not really that simple at this point. But hopefully I'll get this resolved.
lol Brant you seem to have the same strain of luck that i have! i want to choke those tech people daily. what makes me mad is they are just puppets reading from a notebook and when you go off the notebook, they are braindead. nice to know our computer society is run by the lowest bidder.
Lol, yeah tell me about it. By the way, it turns out that all they were blocking was email usage from those (and my) IPs. Then they reported that they had been having some network issues, which were supposedly resolved. Problem is I still can't access the site! So I sent them a trace route, which shows where the connection times out at, and hopefully we'll be able to get this resolved after all. We shall see.
